Snowflakes in October? Tonight was a very windy and cold cross country section meet. There were even a few light snowflakes before the race began. It was 37 degrees with a "real feel" temp of 24 degrees. The wind was gusty with a NW wind of 33 mph. The runners braved the temps and did awesome! Running is definitely a sport of physical and mental toughness. The cheering crew was cold even before the race began. The hot chocolate demand was greater than the supply in the club house. This race marks the end of another cross country season. We will start looking forward to next year! As Missee mentioned, we will be attending a quilt camp with our mom this weekend. I had great intentions of projects I would have cut out and ready to sew. Unfortunatly that prep work didn't happen, so I will be cutting and sewing at camp. I found this pattern for an apron and material to use. This will be project #1. Project #2 , #3, etc. are to be determined at this point. If the apron goes well, I might try to sew a few of those for Christmas gifts. Mainly I am looking forward to spending time with family, relaxing, and running. (Missee and I will definitely get out and run some miles before marathon sewing sessions.)
Happy Weekend! Happy Running! -Stephanie
