My Saturday started with some stretching and a trip to the treadmill. I have been having some trouble with my lower back, so I decided to warm up with ten minutes of walking, followed by running. When I started running, my back was still bothering me. I decided to walk a little more. When my workout was complete, I ended up with a 20 minute walk, followed by a 30 minute run, and finally another 10 minute walk. This was not what I had planned. My goal had been a non-stop 60 minute run. I was disappointed. Runners, do you relate? Sometimes a run doesn't go as planned. The middle of my day included my daughter's basketball tournament, plenty of sitting, and a little reading. When we returned home, I decided to give the treadmill another try. After a lot of sitting, it felt good to get moving. I was determined to finish a 60 minute run. Mission complete! :) I ran my hour and even kept going until 1:01.52. Any guesses why I went past the hour mark? Yep... at 60 minutes I was so close to reaching seven miles that I decided to keep going for another couple minutes. On Sunday, I will take the day off of running to relax and recuperate.
Wishing you a happy day of rest or running! -Stephanie
