Hello Everyone! The following Recap (#1) is written by Stephanie. Missee will write her recap later this week. This past weekend was spent at Quilt Camp. The four of us enjoyed a fabulous weekend of sewing, eating, running, fellowship, and fun. Quilt Camp is held at a church camp in central Minnesota. During the summer months, it is primarily home to church camp for youth. For the remaining months, the camp is open to a variety of retreats. Mom had been invited to attend a private quilt camp a few years ago. She loved it so much that she invited us to attend. We are so glad that she did! Although the camp provides some classes to make specific quilts, most of the attendees work on individual projects brought from home. We pretty much sew, eat, and pray. Missee and I also managed to get out for a run each morning. The course had a couple huge hills that were challenging. The scenery was awesome and the run was filled with laughs and conversation. Most of the weekend was spent sewing in the main hall. Missee and I were table partners and our mom (along with her friend) were at the table next to us. I would love to say that I finished all of my projects, but that would be unrealistic. I accomplished a lot more than I would have at home and had a wonderful time on retreat with a fabulous group of women.
Happy Sewing! Happy Running! -Stephanie
