The survey results are in... Our readers are morning runners who run for fun in blizzards. (If you want to see the survey questions, look at my post from June 27.) The answers turned out as a I had expected. We are Minnesota moms who don't mind running in the winter. We are busy chasing our children in the afternoons and evenings, so we must run in the mornings. It was really fun to read your responses! A portion of my afternoon was devoted to creating a playlist for the race this weekend. Without having someone to run with, I knew that I was going to need some motivating music. After doing several searches on the Internet for running playlists, I found a few songs that would fit my needs.
Searching for a running playlist was difficult because most of the lists I found were filled with songs that I had never heard of. As I chose songs off of my library and purchased a few new songs, I couldn't help but notice a theme. Here are five songs off of my playlist. 1. I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor 2. I'm Still Standing by Elton John 3. Don't Stop Believing by Journey 4. No Easy Way Out by Robert Tepper (from Rocky IV) 5. Don't Stop Me Now by Queen I think my music choices give you an insight into my nerves. I'm not sure why I get nervous for these races because my results matter only to me. Getting ready for a race gives me a chance to think about my goals truly are. These goals for me are to have fun and enjoy the run. If those two goals are achieved, all will be well. Have a happy weekend! -Stephanie Care to Comment? Do you have any favorite running songs? I'm always looking for new songs for my playlist.
