Weekends seem to fly by around here. Yesterday my children and I worked tirelessly raking, mowing, and cleaning up our yard. It was starting to look pretty good until rain began to fall. We brought eight bags of leaves out to the city compost site. We were feeling proud until... a few hours later when we retuned home from church. Apparently the rain and wind of a passing storm seemed to down enough of our remaining leaves to look as if we hadn't done any work at all. Bummer! We will be out there again soon. Saturday also included a lovely eight mile run. My running friend and I found a BRAND NEW ROUTE. After running the roads and paths in our community for the past 19 years, we actually found a new Saturday route to enjoy. Running a new route is a great way to add some excitement to a sport that can get a bit mundane. On Sunday, my daughter asked if I would run a short route with her. Yes! Of course I would love to join her. My son decided to come along also. He and I did our best to keep up with L. We ran a route that she runs with her cross country teammates. Again... it was a new route to me. Two new routes in one weekend. FUN! The three of us enjoyed a cool down walk. (Sorry for my close-up!) :) Wishing you all a fabulous week ahead! Happy Running! -Stephanie
